- Develop an informal alliance, process/structure with objectives and agenda.
- Build trust and respect among allied organizations.
- Be a potent force advocating management that promotes the health and sustainability of native lands.
- Positions are taken by allied organization and not in the name of TNLA
- We believe native lands can be used for:
- Managed grazing
- Appropriate recreation
- Responsible energy production
- Wildlife habitat
- Maintaining biodiversity
- Benefiting ground and surface water resources
- Sustainable forestry
- Share information in an effective and immediate way (e.g. list serve, web site):
- Develop an outreach strategy
- Develop unified message and stay focused
- Internal (allied organizations)
- External (general public and landowners)
- Work together where we agree:
- Agree to disagree and respect differences,
- Extol and recognize accomplishments of allied organizations
- Coordinate efforts on special issues - some groups develop the issues, some groups implement the strategy.
- Issue leaders emerge and coordinate communication between allied organizations.
